Abstract
This paper discuss thesimilitudes between the proposalof a presence culture exposed forHans Ulrich Gumbrecht and MartinHeidegger philosophy. Gumbrechtsuggest that inside the occidentalculture exist two forms of relationshipwith the world: meaningculture and presence culture. Weargues that Gumbrecht reflectioncan be associated with elementsof fundamental importance insideHeidegger philosophy.
