Abstract
Flanagan interprets the novel "The Rape of Sita" by Lindsey Collen. A discussion on the causative factors and implications of neurotic trauma in the accurate representation of a terrifying past event of historical significance is presented. The analysis of this psychological phenomenon is important because if historical fact is to be set apart from historical fiction, understanding the victim's condition will lead to ways of eliciting an accurate testimony of the event.
