Biography and/or project

I studied history, german literature and cultural sciences in Berlin and Paris. My PhD-thesis from Humboldt Universität zu Berlin and École des hautes études en sciences sociales Paris focussed on the intersections of testimony and contemporary history in the aftermath of the French Revolution. My current research project founded by the Fritz Thyssen Stiftung deals with the era of reconstruction in Europe after World War One. In a theoretical perspective, I am interested in historical temporalities, the narrativity of historical writing, and materiality.
