Biography and/or project
I have a master’s degree in both philosophy and history. After working several years as a teacher in different secondary schools, I’m currently working as an assistant at the University of Leuven. I’m mainly interested in the philosophy of history. My research focusses on the concept of the historical condition and it’s moral and ethical implications. Starting from the conceptual framework of Paul Ricoeur I’m investigating the different ways in which we deal with the past and their consequences on, or relevance for, the present or future. What is the ethical and moral role of the historian, historiography, the past and memory?
