Biography and/or project
Christophe Bouton is Professor of Philosophy at Michel de Montaigne University in Bordeaux, Fellow of the Institut Universitaire de France (Research Project 2008-2013: ‘Time : Philosophical and Scientific Approaches’). His research area is focused on: 1) the history of German philosophy from Kant to Heidegger; 2) the philosophies and theories of history in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries; 3) the issue of time in the contemporary philosophy. He was visiting Professor at the University of Hamburg (04-08/2010), the University Laval in Québec (03/2011), visiting scholar at the University of Sydney (04-08/2012, Centre for Time).
