Ethan Kleinberg

Biography and/or project

Ethan Kleinberg is Professor of History and Letters at Wesleyan University and Editor-in-Chief of History and Theory. He is also Director of Wesleyan University’s Center for the Humanities. Kleinberg is the author of Haunting History: for a deconstructive approach to the past (Stanford University Press) and Generation Existential: Heidegger’s Philosophy in France, 1927-61 (Cornell University Press). He is the co-editor (along with Ranjan Ghosh) of the volume on Presence (Cornell University Press) and author of numerous articles on intellectual history and the theory of history.  He is completing a book length monograph on Emmanuel Levinas’s Talmudic lectures in Paris.
