Biography and/or project
My main interest are theory of history, metahistory and historical thinking in modern time. I got my doctorate on the basis of studying the German theory of history. I focus on German Historik tradition for a long time and I also interested in historical consciousness, historical culture and disciplinary nature of history. Recently, I have focused on the influence of national wills on historical thinking and historical theory, which manifested differently in different historical periods, which shape our understanding of practical life and future expectations. This has also been the subject of a recent research project of mine.
