Nicholas Halmi

Biography and/or project

Nicholas Halmi is Professor of English and Comparative Literature at the University of Oxford and Margaret Candfield Fellow of University College, Oxford. He is the author of The Genealogy of the Romantic Symbol (2007) and the editor or co-editor of several scholarly editions, including of the works of Samuel Taylor Coleridge (2004) and William Wordsworth (2013). He is currently completing a book on historical consciousness and aesthetics from the Renaissance to Romanticism.
