Abstract
This article summarizes the main contents of the works in this monographic dossier devoted to the study of the relationships between self-censorship and historiography in Habsburg Spain. It argues for the timeliness and relevance of this dossier, presents its aims and working hypotheses, provides a summary of each article and makes an assessment of some of its most significant results.
