Abstract
The article presents a historiography of postmodern studies written between 1970 and 2000 which focus on northern European history. The author considers the philosophies of historical studies in numerous books and articles, including the books: “The Killing of History: How Literary Critics and Social Theorists Are Murdering Our Past,” by Keith Windschuttle; "Universe of the Mind: A Semiotic Theory of Culture," by Yuri M. Lotman; and "The Condition of Postmodernity: An Enquiry Into the Origins of Cultural Change," by David Harvey.
