Abstract
In the 20th century the bourgeois philosophy of history, rejecting on principle the materialistic interpretation of history, began to create an artifical historical world, proclaiming it the real essence of historical life. However, historical experience has increasingly shown that this imaginary artificial historical world cannot stop the real course of social life and the real historical development which is in glaring contrast with speculative philosophical doctrines. The dialectics of history destroy those foundations of social life which are believed to be eternal prerequisites by the bourgeois philosophy of history. That is why the bourgeois philosophy of history assumes a surrealistic character, distorting the reality, inflating insignificant developments to enormous proportions and compressing essential events to unimportance.
