Biography and/or project

He graduated from Lomonosov Moscow State University in 1995. He earned a PhD at Russian State University for The Humanities in 1999. The title of his PhD thesis isHistory: Event and Story. A Crirtical Analysis of Narrativist Philosophy of History. He was a translator (from English into Russian) of two works by Frank R. Ankersmit: Narrative Logic (Den Haag: Nijhoff, 1983) and Sublime Historical Experience (Stanford/Cambridge 2005). They were published in Russian in 2003 and 2007, respectively. He was a visiting scholar at the University of Groningen in 2004 and the University of California, Berkeley in 2007-2008. Since 2003 he holds the position of docent (assistant professor) at Russian State University for the Humanities (RSUH).
