Biography and/or project
My background is in architectural history and (the history of) philosophy. Most of my philosophical work currently pertains to the philosophy of history. I am particularly interested in the philosophical problems of individualist-intentionalist approaches to intellectual history. I also work in the history of the philosophy of history–my forthcoming book is a history of the individualism-collectivism debate in German scholarship in the period 1890-1947.
