Henry Rousso

I have first worked on the history of the Second World War and post-war period. My early writings focused on political and economic history of the Vichy regime. Then I turned to a history of memory of the war and dedicated much of my research to the history of collective memory and the uses of the past. I’m currently interested by the relationships between history, memory, and justice, and more generally by the epistemology of contemporary history.
