Biography and/or project

My current research project focuses on Eduard Bernstein’s and the revisionists’ critique of the orthodox Marxist doxa post Marx. In my thesis, the Revisionismusstreit is the point of departure for a technical examination of the dominant Marxist discourse of the period. I am interested in questions about how intellectual historians can begin, epistemologically, to talk about discursive singularity, and to account for the constitution of discursive objects, subjects, concepts and themes. My research interests include the history of Marxism, particularly the history of orthodox Marxism and its fin de siècle Revisionist crisis; Foucauldian discourse theory and historical epistemology; intellectual history after the linguistic turn.
