Rommel Curaming

Biography and/or project

Dr. Rommel A. Curaming is Lecturer in History and Southeast Asian Studies at University of Brunei Darussalam (UBD). He completed PhD from the Australian National University (ANU) and has held postdoctoral positions at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and La Trobe University, Victoria, Australia. With a geographic area of research focusing on Indonesia, Philippines and to an extent Malaysia, his research interests include state-historian relations, comparative historiography, memory and history of political violence, and politics/ethics of knowledge production and consumption.
