My areas of interest are philosophy of history, history of European Historiography, postmodernism studies and public history. Over the past 20 years, my work is mainly concentrated in the historical narrative research and historical epistemology research. I also translated and published a number of works of philosophers of history, for example, Hayden White’s Metahistory:The Historical Imagination in Nineteenth-Century Europe, R. G. Collingwood’s The Idea of History(co-translator), and over 20 articles of Sande Cohen, W. H. Walsh, Jerzy Topolski, Frank Ankersmit, Jörn Rüsen, Lucian Hölscher, Chris Lorenz. Recently, I am interested in the relationship between the rising of modern European historical consciousness and the writing of the history of disciplines in humanities from the end of the 18th century to the early 19th century.
